Each of these placement options is discussed in detail in the appropriate section of this website. For each placement we employ the Educational Avenues Process℠ which provides an in-depth set of assessments as well as extensive interviews with the student and parents in a variety of ways depending on the family’s preferences, geography or other considerations. We conduct a needs-analysis to evaluate the affordability of various schools or programs for the family. When children have learning disabilities, we evaluate the psycho-educational evaluation or may recommend specific testing so that we may get to the core of the child’s cognitive and emotional functioning. After this extensive review, we present parents with ideal placement options for their child. For college-bound students, we make sure that parents identify the key roles that they want education to play in their child’s life. These expectations are clarified with both students and parents, then properly reflected and addressed.
